Mr. Jouwert has over 20 years of experience in social change, livability, and development cooperation, with strong expertise in data analysis and visualization, qualitative and quantitative research, process management of integrated sustainability approaches, program coordination, organizational development, democratic renewal, social transition, participation, and capacity building. He is passionate about fast-tracking solutions towards a better and more sustainable world.

Currently, he works within the Global Outlook, Civil Society, and Human Rights sector, contributing to initiatives that strengthen civic engagement, promote inclusive development, and advance human rights and social transformation. Kate is a graduate of Dalhousie University with a background in International Development and Political Science. She also studied African Relations at Makerere University. She has been a long-time friend and supporter of HIDE Uganda, notably supporting resource mobilization efforts for the OVC program in Kaliro during her stay in Uganda in 2017.

Professionally, Kate serves as the Client Strategy Director at Public Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where she works with purpose-driven brands and organizations focusing on sustainability, social impact, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies. Her expertise spans strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, impact-driven branding, and sustainable development initiatives. Through her international development background and strategic leadership experience, Kate brings valuable global perspectives, partnership networks, and a strong commitment to social transformation and community empowerment.

As a founding member, Joshua plays a visionary and strategic role in establishing, guiding, and safeguarding the mission, values, and long-term growth of the organization. He is responsible for laying the institutional foundation of the organization and providing leadership in governance, strategic direction, partnership building, and organizational sustainability.

Joshua Thembo is a passionate youth development and social impact professional with experience in program management, community development, advocacy, and strategic communications. He is committed to advancing adolescent and youth empowerment, sexual and reproductive health (SRH), economic empowerment, and community transformation in Uganda. Academically, Joshua holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and has further specialized training in Strategic Planning, Project Planning and Management through a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), as well as studies in Health Diplomacy and Health Promotion. His academic and professional background has strengthened his expertise in public health programming, policy engagement, organizational development, and results-based program implementation.

Joshua has been actively involved in designing and implementing youth-centered projects focusing on health promotion, skills development, mentorship, menstrual hygiene advocacy, and prevention of teenage pregnancy. With a strong passion for leadership and sustainable social change, Joshua continues to contribute to programs that promote inclusive development, youth participation, and impactful community-driven solutions.

Paul Gabula is a Uganda-based development and policy professional with experience in health systems governance, Universal Health Coverage (UHC), Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). His work spans political economy analysis, policy implementation, regional health governance, global partnership management, and development programming within East Africa and broader global health contexts. He has supported initiatives involving policy advocacy, stakeholder coordination, institutional engagement, donor and partner relations, and cross-sector collaboration aimed at strengthening health systems, advancing health equity, and addressing public sector implementation challenges. Paul has worked with diverse actors across government, civil society, regional institutions, and international development spaces on programs and partnerships focused on sustainable development, social policy, and inclusive health outcomes

Annet Mutabazi is a dedicated and compassionate Community Development Specialist and social worker with over 15 years of experience working with vulnerable populations, including children, families, and communities. She has extensive expertise in community care, crisis intervention, social development, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as the City Community Development Officer for Fort Portal City, Annet has previously served as Principal Community Development Officer for Kasese Municipal Council and Senior Community Development Officer for Kasese Town Council, demonstrating strong leadership in community empowerment and social service delivery.

Academically, Annet holds a Master’s Degree in Gender and Development Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Development, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Development Studies. She has also attained several professional certifications in Administrative Law, Child Protection, Strategic Planning, Financial Management, Gender Responsive Economic Policy Management, and Social Policy for Development Planners

The Program Quality and Impact Manager plays a strategic role in ensuring that all programs are effective, evidence-based, impactful, and aligned with organizational goals, donor requirements, and community needs.

Zoe Juliet Nababwanuka is a dedicated public health specialist with strong expertise in sexual and reproductive health (SRH), HIV/AIDS programming, demographic analysis, and health policy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Population Studies from Makerere University and an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Research from the James Lind Institute. Switzerland, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at Uganda Martyrs University. She is highly skilled in data analysis using SPSS, STATA, and Excel and has built a solid foundation in evidence-based public health programming and research.

With over eight years of progressive experience at the National Population Council, Zoe has contributed significantly to national policy development, strategic planning, and stakeholder coordination, particularly in advancing Uganda’s family planning and demographic dividend agenda. She has led and supported key national initiatives, including the Family Planning Budget Advocacy Group and the National Demographic Dividend Steering Committee, and has been actively involved in capacity building for government and civil society actors. She has also contributed to regional and national publications and conferences, including the African Population Conference, and remains committed to strengthening population health outcomes through evidence-based advocacy, research, and program leadership.
